WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, MoveOn Political Action announces that within 24 hours, MoveOn members have raised over $1 million in grassroots donations, capturing renewed momentum to elect Vice President Kamala Harris and defeat Donald Trump and MAGA extremism this November. As reported by CNBC, this is the organization’s strongest fundraising day since the 2016 election cycle. The average small-dollar donation made to the organization is $30.
“Vice President Harris’s candidacy has fired up MoveOn members at levels we have not seen since 2016. The strong response to the news of the Harris candidacy means that our members are locked and ready to mobilize voters to defeat Donald Trump and his Project 2025 takeover plan to destroy our democracy and our futures,” said MoveOn Political Action Executive Director Rahna Epting.
This news is followed by today’s announcement that MoveOn members have overwhelmingly voted to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris to build on the historic progress from the Biden-Harris administration and continue to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of the American people against the right-wing Project 2025 agenda and MAGA-backed policies.
