Washington, D.C. – As reported by WRAL, thousands of registered voters with the No Labels Party won’t receive a ballot during primary elections in North Carolina, thus preventing voters from participating in their nomination process. Thousands of voters in other states such as Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, South Dakota, Maine, and Utah may be similarly impacted. Former GOP North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory hasn’t even switched his voter registration, despite being a prominent No Labels Party supporter. The revelation is the latest in a series of anti-democratic efforts from the No Labels Party to pave the way for Donald Trump to take back the White House in 2024.
“It’s laughable that No Labels claims they want to give North Carolinians a choice – they don’t even want to give them a vote. Contrary to their self-proclaimed dedication to democracy, the No Labels Party is eliminating thousands of Americans from participating in the primary process,” said MoveOn Political Action Executive Director Rahna Epting. “No Labels is disenfranchising voters, plain and simple. They should practice what they preach about uniting the country, stop misleading voters, and end their ill-advised and dangerous dark-money-funded third-party ticket that will only re-elect Donald Trump.”
Over the summer, MoveOn called for an investigation following Maine’s Secretary of State Shenna Bellows sending a cease-and-desist letter to No Labels. The group received complaints about No Labels’ organizers misleading Maine voters into changing their party affiliation status.
