WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, MoveOn Political Action highlights a report from Slate detailing Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s efforts to “sabotage the efficient administration of the election and undermine trust in its outcome” in Wisconsin.
The TLDR:
- RFK Jr. is currently asking the U.S. Supreme Court to restore his name to the ballot in New York, despite suspending his campaign to endorse Donald Trump several weeks ago. With ballots already in the mail, this could massively impact early voting.
- At the same time, he is asking the Wisconsin Supreme Court to remove his name from the ballot, asserting a constitutional right not to run (the same argument he used in North Carolina). Again, the state has already printed ballots and begun mailing them out, but RFK Jr. wants election officials to place a sticker over his name on more than 4 million ballots.
- Given his endorsement of Trump, RFK Jr.’s efforts clearly reflect an intent to destabilize the election, sow confusion and doubt, and boost Trump’s chances of returning to the White House.
“It’s no coincidence that Donald Trump’s campaign is flailing and now Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is trying to subvert the will of the people and sow chaos in Wisconsin’s ballot count. This election will be decided on the margins, and any effort to damage our electoral process is an attack on our entire democracy,” said MoveOn spokesperson Britt Jacovich.
