ROUNDUP: More Republican Collusion and Corruption Propping Up Spoiler Candidates

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A story from the Associated Press this week details how Republican operatives are propping up Cornel West and Jill Stein’s campaigns in key states to boost Donald Trump’s chances at the presidency. This includes gathering signatures for the candidates, representing them in court, and swindling folks into signing on to be electors.

For months, Republicans have gone all in on their national strategy to get West on the ballot in swing states to boost Donald Trump. West has continually used lawyers and MAGA consultants who have ties to dangerous right-wing causes, including anti-LGBTQ+ and voter suppression efforts.

It comes as no surprise that these candidates face backlash for their shady behavior. A video from Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed Stein’s campaign as “predatory” and “not serious” – while leveling that Stein has failed to build any power for her stated causes despite running for office for over “years and years and years and years in a row.” We couldn’t agree more.

RFK Jr. may have suspended his campaign to endorse Trump, but he still remains on the ballot in dozens of states, including Wisconsin
