WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, MoveOn Political Action slammed failed presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for joining Donald Trump to peddle lies and downplay Trump’s disastrous record on health care. NBC News reports that RFK Jr. and Trump will host a health care-focused virtual town hall that will no doubt avoid the fact that, as president, Donald Trump fought to kick people off their insurance, repeal the Affordable Care Act, dole out tax breaks to Big Pharma, and restrict reproductive rights.
The news comes as Vice President Kamala Harris has unveiled a new proposal to expand Medicare to cover the long-term care needs of seniors and help Americans who are caring for aging parents and their own children.
“We see through the spin: Trump’s record on health care is an unmitigated disaster, and his Project 2025 agenda would increase the cost of care for all Americans and institute a nationwide abortion ban,” said Britt Jacovich, MoveOn Political Action spokesperson. “Kamala Harris’s bold leadership will expand access to care for seniors and children, lower prescription drug prices, and bring down the cost of care. She will stand up for working people and ensure that our health-care system works for all Americans.”
