New MoveOn Ad: “Disqualify Trump” Calls Out MAGA Apologists

Washington, D.C. – MoveOn Political Action released a new ad highlighting how twice-impeached Donald Trump, facing a myriad of indictments, including attempts to overturn the 2020 election, should be disqualified from running for president. Despite the four indictments and 91 criminal charges, the other GOP primary candidates and the MAGA Complicit Caucus in Congress continue to enable Trump’s attacks on our elections and democratic values.

“Trump was responsible for a deadly insurrection against our country and should be ineligible to run for president again,” said MoveOn Political Action Executive Director Rahna Epting. “Even after he betrayed our country and set fire to our sacred institutions, the MAGA extremists gunning for the presidency and running Congress continue to stand by Trump’s traitorous flag instead of the Constitution.”

During the first GOP presidential primary debate, the ad will run in AZ-1, AZ-6, NE-1, NY-1, NY-3, NY-4, NY-19, NY-11—the very backyards of members of the Complicit Caucus—and Washington, D.C., to ensure that people tuning in to FOX’s propaganda network also see an accurate depiction of the twice-impeached former president and his legal troubles, as well as the GOP candidates’ support of him.

Nearly 400,000 MoveOn members have called for secretaries of state around the country to disqualify Trump from the ballot.

The ad can be viewed here.
