WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to anti-abortion Donald Trump endorsing anti-abortion Larry Hogan for Maryland’s open U.S. Senate seat, MoveOn Political Action Executive Director Rahna Epting released the following statement:
“Donald Trump nominated and Senate Republicans confirmed the Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v. Wade. And now MAGA extremists are not just taking away abortion but coming after contraception, IVF, and all aspects of our reproductive health care.
“A vote for Larry Hogan is a vote to put Trump in charge of your body. Marylanders know Larry Hogan has a long and clear record of undercutting abortion rights and access. Trump knows who will follow his orders on Day 1 of his return to the Oval Office. His Hogan endorsement ensures that he will have another rubber stamp in the Senate to advance more attacks and restrictions on our bodies and reproductive care.
