Join NowWASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, MoveOn is unveiling a series of digital billboards in North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida that spotlight Donald Trump’s decision to cut $155 million from disaster relief funds during his presidency. As early voting gets underway and these states recover from recent devastating hurricanes, the billboards serve as a stark reminder of Trump’s priorities and the way his policies harm communities.
The billboards feature the message “Donald Trump Sold Us Out When He Cut Disaster Relief by $155 Million as President.” This campaign aims to combat the disinformation surrounding emergency funds and remind voters of Trump’s inadequate response as they head to the polls.
The billboards will run in the following states this week through Election Day, November 5:
“Donald Trump does not care about protecting our lives, our homes, or our communities. He only cares about himself,” said MoveOn spokesperson Britt Jacovich. “His slashing of disaster relief funds while in office left countless communities vulnerable, and now millions of Americans face the consequences. We won’t let his disinformation and disregard for people’s lives go unchecked.”
