MoveOn Launches Billboard in Speaker Johnson’s District Blasting His Refusal to Release Epstein Files

Bossier City, LA — Today, MoveOn Civic Action will unveil a billboard near Speaker Mike Johnson’s office in Bossier City, Louisiana, that will stay up for the next four weeks, calling him out for sending Congress home early rather than allowing a vote on releasing the Epstein files.

The billboard is part of MoveOn’s broader accountability campaign targeting Republicans who are stonewalling efforts to make Epstein-related documents public. MoveOn members placed more than 2,500 calls to Republican House members this week, demanding they stay in D.C. and vote to release the Epstein files. A MoveOn Civic Action petition calling on the Department of Justice and the Trump administration to release all files related to the Jeffrey Epstein case has received upwards of 45,000 signatures in mere days.

“Speaker Johnson and Donald Trump have made their priorities clear—they would rather protect the powerful and corrupt than show Americans the truth,” said Britt Jacovich, spokesperson for MoveOn Civic Action. “Just as Trump promised on the campaign trail, the American people deserve to know who enabled Jeffrey Epstein’s abuses. With Speaker Johnson ignoring the public’s demands and Trump creating a cover-up, MoveOn members are making sure constituents and the country know exactly who they are protecting.”

Public frustration over the handling of the Epstein files has sparked backlash from across the political spectrum—including MAGA influencers, conservative podcasters, and even some of Trump’s congressional allies. Despite this, President Trump has dismissed the growing demand for transparency as a “hoax,” blaming Democrats and disparaging some of his own supporters as “weaklings.”

Just 3 percent of Americans say they’re satisfied with the amount of information the federal government has released about the Epstein case, according to a new poll. MoveOn’s billboard will remain in place as Congress returns home from Washington and Speaker Johnson faces renewed scrutiny in his own backyard.
