Following President Biden’s remarks in Chicago on the benefits of the administration’s Build Back Better agenda, MoveOn Executive Director Rahna Epting issued the following statement:
“Simply recovering from the pandemic is not enough. 81 million people, the most votes that any candidate has ever received, voted for Joe Biden and Democrats in Congress to urgently address the mounting crises that have gone long ignored in this country.
“President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda will deliver on this promise. To build back better, we need to invest in good paying union jobs, clean energy jobs, the care infrastructure that so many people depend on, and a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, TPS holders, and essential workers like farmworkers. MoveOn members are working tirelessly to ensure this becomes a reality because America can not afford to wait any longer.”
