Leadership and Experience

As an organizer and advocate, Maxwell Alejandro Frost has spent his life fighting for the future that everyday people deserve. Growing up in Central Florida in an Afro-Cuban family, his path to public service was deeply shaped by his upbringing. He first stepped into community organizing at the age of 15, motivated by a desire to end gun violence following the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy.

Before running for Congress, Maxwell built a formidable track record driving grassroots movements on the state and national levels. He served as the National Organizing Director for March for Our Lives, leading young activists across the country in the fight for comprehensive gun safety. Additionally, as a field manager and organizer with the ACLU of Florida, he helped spearhead the successful Amendment 4 campaign, a historic victory that restored voting rights to more than 1.6 million Floridians. He is running for Congress to bring the power of working-class, youth, and marginalized coalitions straight to Washington.

• Ending Gun Violence: As a survivor of gun violence and a lifelong activist, Maxwell is dedicated to eliminating the gun epidemic. He champions systemic federal action, close collaboration with grassroots movements, and community-based violence prevention initiatives to protect our neighborhoods.

• Housing Affordability: Recognizing that a stable home is foundational, Maxwell treats housing accessibility and affordability as urgent priorities. He supports federal efforts to rapidly scale up affordable housing construction and eliminate predatory junk fees that exploit renters.

• Climate Action & Environmental Justice: Maxwell views the climate crisis as the single greatest challenge facing our world. He advocates for a Green New Deal to build a clean energy economy while centering environmental justice so that every community has access to clean air, water, and healthy food.

• Transforming Criminal Justice: Maxwell is committed to restructuring our justice system away from mass incarceration and racial disparity. He champions policies aimed at systemic equity, the decriminalization of cannabis, and rebuilding communities heavily impacted by punitive drug laws.
