Born and raised in Metro Atlanta, Jon Ossoff has established a distinct reputation as a legislative workhorse and a relentless investigator in the U.S. Senate. Mentored by civil rights icon Congressman John Lewis, Jon’s career began in investigative journalism. As the CEO of an investigative media company, he led a small business that produced award-winning exposes on public corruption, war crimes, human trafficking, bribery, and sexual slavery for international news organizations.
Since making history with his victory in the 2021 Georgia runoffs, Jon has taken those same investigator skills directly to Washington. He has spearheaded critical bipartisan investigations that exposed the abuse of children in Georgia’s foster care system, the mistreatment of military families by private housing contractors, and civil rights abuses across the federal prison system. Facing a highly competitive reelection battle as the state’s lone Democratic senator on the ballot in a state Donald Trump won, Jon is running to continue delivering practical, tangible results that put the people of Georgia above partisan politics.
