QUEENS, N.Y. – Earlier today, MoveOn, Courage for America, and Concerned Citizens of NY-03 organized a “Drive Out Santos” caravan with nearly 60 constituents and 40 cars to renew calls for Congress to vote to expel GOP Representative George Santos.
As previewed by CBS New York and the New York Post, after first rallying at Michael J. Tully Park, the caravan made stops across the district at locations representing Santos’s many scams and scandals, including an animal hospital, a Jewish center, a bank, the restaurant where his campaign spent $26,000, and his district office. Those joining the caravan demanded that Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Republican House leadership swiftly move to hold Santos accountable for repeatedly and unabashedly lying to voters, constituents, and the press about his life, qualifications, heritage, and education.
“There is no question in my mind that Mr. Santos is not fit to represent the people of Congressional District 3. We have no idea what he stands for except himself and his power and greed,” added Charlie Robbins, a MoveOn member and NY-3 constituent.
“George Santos is a career grifter who seeks out people’s vulnerabilities, including repeatedly preying on their good qualities of compassion and love for vulnerable animals. These actions, among so many other things he has done, make him manifestly unqualified to serve in Congress,” said Emily Raphael from Plainview, a member of the Steering Committee of Concerned Citizens of NY-03.
“George Santos told real and significant lies that impacted all of us. It’s unacceptable that he is still in Congress actively legislating against us, and he needs to be expelled,” said Casey Sabella, an organizer and resident of NY-03.
Marie Marsina, who lives walking distance from Santos’s office in Douglaston and spoke today about Santos’s many campaign finance violations, said, “District 3 will not be held hostage by Santos so he can benefit financially from his unearned $174,000 salary.”

The groups that organized today’s caravan previously brought dozens of NY-03 constituents to Capitol Hill, delivered a petition with over 100,000 signatures to Santos’s district office, mobilized alongside elected officials, protested outside Santos’s district office in Queens, and rallied on the steps of the Nassau County Courthouse to call for Santos’s expulsion.
