WASHINGTON, D.C. – MoveOn Political Action Chief Communications Officer Joel Payne released the following statement in response to AIPAC’s Super PAC launching more than $790,000 in negative ads against Republican Congressman Thomas Massie for voting to rein in Donald Trump’s war on Iran:
“AIPAC will stop at nothing and will go after anyone, including Republicans who dare reel in Trump for a war that has killed hundreds of civilians and 13 U.S. service members. Powerful special interests like the defense and AI industries and AIPAC are hell-bent on creating more permission for senseless and destructive pro-war politics. These industries are hiding behind shadowy Super PACs to put the interest of waging war and keeping Trump in power ahead of the well-being of everyday people in the U.S. and across the globe.”
