Teen activist Julia Bluhm started a petition to get Seventeen Magazine to change the way they depict girls’ bodies in their magazines. After collecting tens of thousands of signatures, and organizing a protest outside the magazine’s offices, she was successful in getting Seventeen to agree to make some changes. Wohoo! Her efforts have now inspired another girl-powered campaign — this one to get Teen Vogue to follow suit. So far, the reception from Teen Vogue has been decidedly frosty. We support these courageous girls’ efforts and encourage Teen Vogue to do the right thing!
