MoveOn.org Political Action and Democracy for America announced today that more than 200,000 people have now joined the Run Warren Run effort calling on Senator Elizabeth Warren to run for president.

Ilya Sheyman, executive director of MoveOn Political Action, on the achievement:

“In just a few weeks, more than 200,000 Americans have joined the growing movement to encourage Senator Elizabeth Warren to enter the presidential race. Senator Warren’s vision of fighting for working families and the middle class is exactly what our country needs right now—and together, hundreds of thousands of Americans across the country are showing Senator Warren that she will have a groundswell of support if she decides to run.”

Charles Chamberlain, executive director of Democracy for America, on the big milestone:

“The over 200,000 Americans who’ve already joined the Run Warren Run campaign are a battle-tested, grassroots army it will take to make Senator Elizabeth Warren president should she decide to run.

“In 2016, Americans want to elect a president who isn’t afraid to take on the powerful and put forward a populist progressive agenda in her fight for working families. This is Senator Warren’s moment and, together, this people-powered effort is working to build the infrastructure, energy and political momentum she’ll need to seize it.”
