10 MoveOn Polls Show Deep Support for Social Security Expansion

A new survey commissioned by MoveOn.org and looking at 10 key House and Senate districts found that voters there strongly oppose cutting Social Security benefits. The survey was taken as the bi-cameral budget committee began deliberations on a proposed bill that could include benefits cuts, and indicates that support for such cuts could imperil lawmakers in next year’s elections.
