The TV ads—MoveOn’s first in support of its call for Donald Trump’s impeachment, and airing during Sunday morning shows in key districts—call out Reps. Darrell Issa (CA), Scott Tipton (CO), Mike Coffman (CO), Jason Lewis (MN), and Don Bacon (NE) for refusing to hold Trump accountable following new major details showing collusion between top Trump campaign officials and Russia.

MoveOn.org Political Action is releasing a series of 30-second TV and digital ads, airing during Sunday public affairs shows in key districts, condemning five House Republicans who have remained silent following recent major revelations on apparent collusion between top Trump campaign officials and Russia.

The ads, titled “Crickets,” are in response to news this week from the New York Times that Donald Trump, Jr. attended a meeting with a Russian attorney with close ties to the Putin regime under the pretext of “information that would incriminate Hillary … and would be very useful to your father,” and was “part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump.”

Focusing on Reps. Darrell Issa (CA), Scott Tipton (CO), Mike Coffman (CO), Jason Lewis (MN), and Don Bacon (NE), the ads will run in the following markets: San Diego, CA; Denver; Grand Junction, CO; Colorado Springs, CO; Minneapolis; and Omaha.

“We are long past coincidence and simple excuses when it comes to the now numerous and documented ties between top Trump campaign officials and the Kremlin, and the latest information revealing potentially illegal communication between a presidential campaign and a foreign government should be deeply troubling to every member of Congress,” said Jo Comerford, campaign director of MoveOn.org Political Action. “Americans deserve to know the full details and extent of the Trump campaign’s apparent collusion with the Russian government during the 2016 election. Every member of Congress must demand answers, and join the growing call for Trump’s impeachment.”
