MoveOn statement in response to Paris attacks

Anna Galland, executive director of MoveOn.org Civic Action, had the following statement in response to the attacks in Paris:

“In the wake of a wave of terrorist attacks from Beirut to Baghdad to Paris over the last few days, we need to hear from all the Presidential candidates — including during the Democratic debate tonight — policies that both protect this nation and keep us from the path of endless war. What will they do to lead with diplomacy, not war? How wide will they open our doors to refugees fleeing the cycle of violence in Syria, Iraq, and elsewhere? How will they stand up to those who would use hatred and Islamophobia to divide us? How will they defend our civil liberties against the inevitable calls for more infringement? How would they really keep people safe? These are vital questions and especially important today.”
