WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 8pm ET, as President Trump escalates an unauthorized and unconstitutional intervention in Venezuela, MoveOn Civic Action, Indivisible, Working Families Power, Community Change, Public Citizen, Win Without War, About Face: Veterans Against War, and People’s Action will host a national movement call bringing together advocates, experts, and movement leaders to demand no U.S. occupation of Venezuela and to prevent another illegal forever war.
Speakers including Senator Tim Kaine, and Representatives Greg Casar and Ilhan Omar will address the legal, humanitarian, and national security consequences of Trump’s actions, outline what Congress must do to block funding for military action and rein in the administration’s abuse of power, and provide clear ways for the public to take action. The Senate will vote this week on a War Powers Resolution led by Kaine to block the use of U.S. Armed Forces within or against Venezuela.
