The Issue

America’s history of immigration has proven that immigrants make America great. We should be a country where our immigrant neighbors are treated with dignity and given a fair pathway for citizenship.

Meanwhile, our immigration system is expensive and confusing to navigate, and in dire need of reform. Our legal immigration system hasn’t been updated since 1990. While nearly every other part of the system has remained stagnant, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has expanded at an unprecedented rate with violent and lethal consequences. Immigrants—many who are in the country legally—are being deported or forced into deadly detention centers at historic rates. 

Immigrants deserve support, protection, and a clear pathway to citizenship. That is why MoveOn is fighting for:
