A second federal judge in three days has indefinitely blocked Trump’s unconstitutional executive order overturning birthright citizenship. Congress must take action and refuse to concede to Trump’s assault on our Constitution.
Donald Trump is expected to deport record numbers of immigrants. Our local and state governments must take proactive action immediately to defend our immigrant communities from Trump’s authoritarian agenda.
Taxpayer dollars should not be used to expand or support immigrant detention. Congress must take immediate action to refuse and block funding for the detention of immigrants at Guantánamo Bay.
Speak Up
Call your Democratic Representative
Democrats in Congress shouldn’t give in to Trump’s anti-immigrant agenda.
With Trump and his allies ramping up their push for mass detention, deportations, and cruel policies targeting immigrant communities, every single Democrat has a choice: fight back or enable this dangerous agenda. Call your Democratic Representative now to demand they hold the line against Trump’s anti-immigrant agenda: 833-933-0194
Call your Democratic Governor
Our state and local governments have a crucial role in protecting our rights and democracy—and some Governors have already stepped up to the plate. We need more local leaders to join the united front across state lines to prevent Trump’s cruel detention and deportation efforts. Call your Democratic Governor now and urge them to take immediate action: 833-932-0171
Here are some policies you can ask your Governor to implement:
- Use sanctuary measures that the prevent use of state and local resources in ICE’s deportation and detention operations
- Prepare a coordinated response to mass raids by convening a task force to communicate when and where deportations are taking place and funding emergency resources, such as legal clinics, for deportation defense
- Expand and publicize state assistance programs, including medical care and food assistance, for mixed-status families and undocumented immigrants in the event Trump cuts basic services to noncitizens
