LaMonica McIver (D-NJ)

Representative LaMonica McIver is facing political retribution for visiting an ICE facility in her district and doing exactly what we want our members of Congress to do: Ensuring the safety and well-being of her constituents, standing up for our rights, and doing the work to be a real check against Trump’s abuses.

Cory Booker (D-NJ)

Senator Cory Booker made history in April when he spoke for more than 25 hours on the Senate floor to bring attention to President Trump’s unjust and corrupt actions. Sen. Booker also staged a 12- hour sit-in on the U.S. Capitol steps to protest the GOP’s callous budget plan, which slashes Medicaid and other programs that support working Americans.

Maxwell Frost (D-FL)

Representative Maxwell Frost joined three other Democratic lawmakers in El Salvador in April to pressure the Trump administration to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland man who was deported there without due process. He also joined Senator Chris Murphy on a nationwide tour aiming to speak directly to Americans in rural, majority-Republican districts about the harms of the Trump administration.

Senator Alex Padilla courageously spoke up at a press conference to question Kristi Noem—the Trump administration’s Secretary of Homeland Security and one of the chief enforcers of its cruel deportation policies. In response, he was wrestled to the ground and handcuffed by federal agents. Sen. Padilla deserves our country’s thanks for speaking the truth and showing up for his constituents and our constitutional rights.
