Robert Reich explains why we should raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour

This week the U.S. Senate will be debating whether or not to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 per hour. But according to recent reports, a number of Senators are considering a compromise that would still leave millions of American workers stuck with poverty wage jobs.

If we really want to grow our economy and lift workers out of poverty, then we should really be talking about raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour, and not even debating anything lower than $10.10.
