Quite simply put: Yes.
Last week, the wife of Republican State Senator Randy Hopper said she planned on signing the recall petition against her own husband. (Their maid has already signed.)
Why? Because he’s living out-of-district with his 26-year-old mistress.
And it gets worse (or better, depending on your point of view). Hopper’s mistress works for the Wisconsin state government as a communications specialist, and even though the state is allegedly “broke,” she’s making 35% more than her predecessor.
Sen. Hopper claims he had “no role in her recent hiring,” but I doubt he’ll find many character witnesses willing to back up that statement.
It’d all be funny if it weren’t so heartbreaking. With their divorce pending, his wife Alysia Hopper said to WTMJ-TV (Channel 4) in Wisconsin:
“Randy is the love of my life…this divorce and the lack of any attempt to save our marriage is solely his decision, not mine.”
