Trump is once again abusing his power, pressuring ABC to censor and silence Jimmy Kimmel and calling for him to be fired.
His administration is complicit, with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) punishing ABC for not complying by mandating that they file to renew their broadcast station licenses early—despite their not being up for review for another several years.
This is bigger than just an attempt to bully Kimmel—this is about the government telling the American people what to think, what to laugh at, what to say, and what to criticize. We need ABC and Disney to take a firm stance against government censorship and protect our free speech.
