Wouldn’t it be cool if we could avoid a war with Iran? Yeah, I think so too! That’s why I made this week’s video, “S**t Republicans Say About The Iran Deal,” calling B.S. on the lies that war hawks are spreading to try to get Americans to oppose the diplomatic agreement that will keep Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
Members of Congress are currently facing one of the most important votes they will make during their time in office. They will have had 60 days to decide whether to vote for diplomacy and support the Iran deal, or oppose the deal and put America on a pathway to war.
MoveOn members are fighting hard in support of this deal. We’ve hired nine new field organizers to rally support in key states; are holding town halls with our representatives, calling on them to support this deal; and more than 100,000 members have even pledged to withhold upwards of $30 million in campaign donations any Democrats—like Senator Schumer and Senator Menendez—who succeeds in undermining diplomacy/the diplomatic deal with Iran.
