One hundred years ago today, on March 25, 1911, 146 people—125 of them young women ages 13-23—died in the now-infamous fire at Triangle Shirtwaist factory in New York City. This video is about the brave women who died that day, and it actually made me cry. It took a couple of tries, but I made it through—and I’m so glad I did.

On Saturday, March 12, police estimated that approximately 100,000 turned out in Madison to protest Gov. Scott Walker’s attack on unions. The Madison rally was bigger than the Tea Party’s biggest protest ever on September 12, 2009, which was estimated at 60,000-70,000.
