Republicans must be immoral, hateful, broken people. That’s what seems to bonds them. Everything they stand for hurts or takes something away from someone else. Be it rights, privileges, money , job security, education, healthcare, home heating allowances, social security, etc… Only a sociopath wants to end abortion, stop poor women from getting birth control and end food stamps for children at the same time. BROKEN!n

I’m all for a womans right to choose and before my comment I want to make it clear there are many reasons women may need to have an abortion.. However saying only a sociopath wants to end abortion is a little extreme. It is a life they are talking about saving and abortion should not be taken lightly.. There are many more preventative measures people need to be taking. I new a girl who had 4 abortions something is wrong with that. I am aware there are circumstances where abortions should be available but we need to be sensitive to the fact that there is a life being taken when we choose that route.

Yes there are some very important topics being discussed. Let us not look over what they are doing with the left hand while showing us the right. Special ID’s for minorities in some states so they can track and void unwanted votes. The Democrats stepped out for good reason. We as a people need to know why!

Revolt25,nBy that logic, clearly we need laws to protect us from people you “new.” If we allow abortions to continue, we haven’t removed these other options. Banning abortions won’t suddenly cause women to consider other choices. It will cause them to give birth to more unwanted children, or to die in botched back-alley attempts at abortion. Do those sound like good things to you?n “Being sensitive to the fact” that this is not “our” baby is a good start. This is not “our” choice to make. Passing laws to prevent abortion is a lot closer to sociopathic behavior than it is to anything remotely resembling sensitivity. The zealots who are trying to pass the ban are doing it by attacking Planned Parenthood (where all those other options you’d like to have discussed are available) so that should give you an idea of just how much they actually care.

I’m sorry, but abortion is NEVER taken lightly, by ANYONE. That is an absurd notion at best. And anyone who believes it is, is completely delusional. It’s not something fun you do on a weekend. Get real.nnIt’s a horrible decision to have to make and a horrible procedure to undergo. I know.

Nobody is “pro-abortion.” Although I am pro-choice, I believe upon conception, a brand new indiviual is created never to be duplicated (not because of religious beliefs, but because science says it is true). That said, cutting funds to Planned Parenthood, and the like, will only increase the number of unplanned pregnancies and abortions. Women need access to education and birthcontrol, and it’s always the poor/uneducated that tend to have the highest number of unplanned pregnacies which results in the need for either abortions or for other services like welfare/foodstamps/housing/etc. in order to support thier offspring, which costs taxpayers more money. All of which the Republicans seek to defund.nnIt’s the most ass-backwards view on reducing abortions and saving taxpayer money and makes absolutly no sense at all.nEasy access birth control as well as education is the solution for decreasing the number of abortions and unwanted pregnancies. Thus decreasing the need for welfare/foodstamps/etc. The statistcs and facts support this. Cutting access will cost more money in the long run and it’s just so medieval. I will never understand the logic of Republicans on this issue. I think they really want to “take America back” to the Dark Ages…..

Good post. When people start their “anti-choice” rhetoric, I always ask “So what you have done to help promote birth control, and what have you done to help promote programs that make the woman feel safer having the child?”

they want to reduce spending. A hard concept for people that live off of other peoples money, but a concept you need to grasp none the less. Planned Parenthood does not need federal funding. It can do fine and well on it’s own. There is a LOT of waste in the government and there needs to be a lot of cuts in spending, or there will not be any money to support anything at all. Do you idiots realize that? Is that something you do not get? We have to stop spending, and start paying down the debt or THERE WILL BE NO GOVERNMENT to hand out all of the programs you people keep whining about.

cutting funding to PP is not shuttering its doors. They can operate on their own.

catsrus,nHow about we stop giving HUGE tax breaks to the filthy rich…which is why we have a budget problem to being with! How about we stop putting all the nations monetary issues on the backs of the middle class! Us so-called idiots get what you apparently just don’t want to understand. Honestly, get a clue.

After reading these posts, it’s clear you libs need to take your meds like the doc told you. Mental illness is a serious but treatable condition.nnI fear you may be a danger to yourself or others, like that lib in AZ.nnHopefully you people have family or friends who care enough to have you admitted to a facility that can give you the round the clock care you so obviously need.

I believe in a major redistribution of wealth through “real” corporate taxes like before Reagan was president. At least at 70%. Tax the rich out of existence.

You really need to get a grip my friend. Pro-lifers value life (as you probably do). The issue for pro-lifers is that they have a fundamental belief that all life is precious. I can’t apologize for believing that abortion is inhumane. Moreover, by no means would I consider myself or any other of my pro-life or even my pro-choice friends “sociopaths” due to their personal viewpoints on abortion. In regards to the rights you claim Republicans are suppressing, consider the fact that American’s have a right to live in a country that is fiscally responsible. I want to be rewarded for my hard work and for taking educated risks to reach my financial goals. As a result, I DO NOT want to be forced to have my taxes raised or forced to give my money to proverbially failing government programs. Pointing the finger at the Republicans alone is a disservice to you, others, and our system of government. Take an inward look at what is really motivating your hatred for other Americans whose viewpoints happen to differ from your own.

Well said. I am a pro-lifer, but I also respect your logic here.nAlthough I will contend that abortion is fundamentally wrong, and defies the concept of human rights, I never thought about it the way you presented it – A gold star for u!
