Pittsburgh MoveOn Members Jump Into Action

Two dozen MoveOn members from the Pittsburgh area recently met up to discuss issues that matter most to them: electing progressives in Pennsylvania, particularly for governor, Medicaid expansion, money in politics, LGBT rights, fracking, gun violence, encouraging neighbors to buy American, and education.  They were joined by local MoveOn leader Bob King and MoveOn staffer Victoria Kaplan for a lively hour-long discussion.

Members agreed that the first campaign they would work on together would be a campaign asking a local school board to offer LGBT teachers the same benefits they currently provide to straight school employees.  The group plans to meet monthly.
