Oh it’s just wonderful how liberals trivialize the deaths of millions of innocent babies.n

Paying taxes is a form of slavery. No-one can do anything, not even A president till a law gets through both houses. Social issues are all about your vote. This will not solve anything it just pissed off the other side. Why are we talking about abortion this 30 years later. Its a state issue, why do people have to tell other people how to

Like Conservatives trivialize the deaths of anyone who’s NOT an unborn baby?nnTwo wrongs don’t make a right. I don’t like the idea of potential life being extinguished, but I will be the first to say that I DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE THAT DECISION FOR ANYONE ELSE.

  • Guest

I always thought it was kind of gauche and trivializing to reduce a human baby to a 2 week old cluster. It’s a dim view of the pretty awesome thing that life actually is.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_XTFDDT2VZELBWP6J376LBVOYKY Jo

By not considering them babies – duh.

Bringing up the size of the black population, as the conservatives do, is a specious argument against abortion. If the population was reduced because everyone practiced abstinence, the ultra-right wing’s preferred method of birth control, that wouldn’t bother them, even though the outcome would be the same. So, take your position, even if it’s one I disagree with, but make a logical argument for it.

No one is doing that, but it would be nice if conservatives cared about children after they were born and weren’t so free with a soldier’s life

Why does the GOP hate women? They’re working hard to take away contraception, and access to abortion and apparently rape is a-okay, too (see e.g., stories about opposition to Sen. Franken’s “Anti-Rape” Amendment to the Defense Appropriations Bill; 11-year-old girl gang-raped for dressing too provocatively; rape victims are “accusers”). Ugly. Very ugly.

No right winger has a genuine concern about either blacks or babies, benito, and you know it.

Paying tribute to oil companies is also a form of slavery. Even worse, because nobody else benefits but the oil company’s tribute accept the rich shareholders. . Accept I get to go to drive to work in my inefficiently fueled car because the oil companies were in bed with the car companies not to make fuel efficient cars that I can afford. Oh, and I, being a pee-on, still get to pay taxes.

How many black babies have you ever seen on those pro life posters?nnHow many protesters have you ever seen at a clinic in a 90 percent black or latino neighborhood?nnNuff said.n

I heard Jessie Helms say to a speech writer who wanted to include education in a campaign statement, u201cI donu2019t have to worry about the womenu2019s agenda/vote they are too busy hen pecking each other over abortion.” Why can women get it? They are the most powerful voting block in the US. Alike on their top 5 issues except abortion. They canu2019t put pecking aside for the education of their children, healthcare for their family or even equal rights for themselves. (top 3) Yes the constitution was written to protect religious freedom but it was not written to legislate morality.

@Harvey – Why does the GOP Hate EVERYONE that isn’t a rich white republican male?n

  • Anonymous

Oh, so I suppose nobody should stand up for defenseless babies. What rights do they have? You’re right, we have no right to tell a woman she can’t MURDER her child. Maybe abortion clinics should provide buy 2 abortions get 1 free. Then women without a conscience could screw everything that moves without fear of responbility towards the baby AND save money as well. Murder is murder, whether you use another word for it or not.

  • Anonymous

No one is doing that? Did you even watch that video? I am conservative and I do care about all children, in the womb or not. As for soldiers lives, well you’re getting a little bit off topic there. I will say I do have the utmost respect for soldiers, however it is still a volunteer army. When someone volunteers for the army they should know what they could be getting into. I’m sure a baby in the womb, if given the choice, would not volunteer to die before being given a chance at life outside the womb.

  • Anonymous

Wow, are you really that simple minded? That’s a huge generalization there genius. Some of the best people I’ve ever known were black. And I do care about babies, seeing as how I’ve been raising two of them.

  • Anonymous

Oh you’re right. They don’t have a heartbeat, they don’t respond to stimuli in the womb. They have no brain either. My bad. It was wrong of me to assume that they’re human beings.

  • Phlogiston

As soon as you give birth benito then you get a say as to what happens in my or any other womans womb.

  • Anonymous

Yeah so just kill your child. Does the child get a say in the matter? I’m sure your baby wouldn’t want you to be inconvienienced. I can’t give birth because it’s physically impossible. However I can speak my mind and stand up for the rights of defenseless babies. Plus, (imagine this), I TAKE CARE OF MY CHILDREN. So even though I can’t give birth to a child, I can take responsibility for that child.

Why does the left wing always bring up race. No matter what subject is being discussed, race is always thrown at the right. Let me guess, its the rich right wingers that are responsible for the black population for having children born into a household with one parent, 70% of the time. Give me a break. Lets stop making excuses for people. Next your going to tell me the tea party people are racsist. Whenever the left argues, this is their favorite thing to do, inject race. There is a reward out for anyone who can show racism within the tea party. This has been out there for over 10 months. The reward is 100,000 dollars. THIS HAS NEVER BEEN CLAIMED YET! The subject was babies, not black babies or white babies. Once again, the left has shown its true colors. A life is a life no matter what color.

  • http://www.facebook.com/jessduda Jessica Duda

It’s too bad the daily show doesn’t have a black woman to be the senior black/women correspondent for this segment…

  • http://www.facebook.com/jessduda Jessica Duda

I completely understand your point. The kicker is liberals have been advocating for easier access to birth control and subsidized child care to prevent abortions but the pro life groups don’t support such policies or anything else to make life easier for parents, ie paid maternal/parental leave as in other industrialized countries. The middle ground on this issue is to prevent the need for abortions – besides abstinence.

  • http://twitter.com/NoOne18 Flavia

It’s even more wonderful how conservatives trivialize the rights of everyone else to follow medical facts & their own beliefs, rather than the emotional/religious strictures of one narrow group.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_MRQYUITXONJRE3BTBVVBG7DF3U whirlybird00

Too bad lefties are so politically correct. I must have merely imagined this hilarious bit.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_MRQYUITXONJRE3BTBVVBG7DF3U whirlybird00

How many times have we seen welfare families stereotyped as black single moms with several kids (though statistics show the majority of welfare recipients are white)?nnHow many times have we seen this stereotype used to reduce or eliminate welfare funding by whipping up outrage in white, conservative voters?nnAnd for the umpteenth time, where does the love and financial support go once the child is born and needs food, shelter, clothing and a quality education? That conservative (and often Christian) compassion and generosity are most often long gone by then.nn(Not quite nuff said ;-))

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_MRQYUITXONJRE3BTBVVBG7DF3U whirlybird00

Matthew, I want to give you a t-shirt that says something like, “Lots of people’s slave taxes paid for my ejakashun, but all I learned was to be A ignerunt jerk!”

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_MRQYUITXONJRE3BTBVVBG7DF3U whirlybird00

Hey, where’d my snide remark go?nn…never mind. There it is at the bottom.

  • Anonymous

White, black, yellow, brown, or puke green; we all have the ability to lift up ourselves no matter what the color of our skin. Plus, of course the majority of welfare recipients are white more than black, because there are overwhelmingly more white people in this country than black. If you want to get into facts and race, well here are some facts. White population on welfare 5.27%nBlack population on welfare 27.78%nHispanic population on welfare 11.47%nnIn case you are easily confused(which most libs are), those are the percentages of each respective race on welfare, based on 2006 total population. I know it hasn’t changed in a dramatic way since then.

  • Anonymous

Would you want the state or the federal government creating a law that says it’s ok to commit murder? Oh wait, they already have. According to the libs murder is ok as long as the victims are completely innocent helpless babies. There’s no difference between that and someone killing a toddler on the street. Women say who are you to say what I can or can’t do with MY body. This argument makes me want to vomit. To these same women I ask, who are you to decide that your baby should die?

  • Anonymous

Their own beliefs? Do you believe it’s fine and dandy to commit murder? What is wrong with the basic decent common sense belief in protecting innocent lives?

  • Anonymous

Easier access to birth control? Is it difficult to get birth control in this country now? There have been plenty of parents, single or not, who have raised their children while paying for their child care as well. I agree with you that maybe their should be certain types of help made available to single mothers, as long as they are trying to help themselves. However, with or without subsidized child care, there is still no excuse for killing your baby. If nothing else there is always the adoption option. I know it could be heartbreaking (to those mothers who actually have a conscience) to give up your newborn child, but at least that child is getting a chance at life. There are many infertile parents who would love to raise a child.

Seems to me some people just want what they want. There is a lot of denial for personal accountability going on in this country. Who spread their legs? How many married couples abort their children? Oh, but that is right, people get to do whatever they want, have sex with whomever they want, and then not have to answer to the natural consequence of their action? Just as there is a consequence for sex – a baby, there will be consequences for murdering the unborn. But, back to my beginning – denial of personal accountability…murder is o.k. because it’s “legal”. You just keep telling yourself that.

JOhn Stewart is a “comedian” on The Comedy Channel” and it is his job to mock the mockable and he’s very entertaining. I feel sad for those who treat this as any real type of news or dialogue. He has no restraints (like truth or facts) on him like a journalist would. I expect this of John, taking the initiative to mock one group for comparing themselves to black slavery. But then I await his next show where he joins with the comedic talents of his costars to make yet another mockery of a group that compares itself to the civil rifghts struggles of the 60′s. I hope John Stewart will be equally aggressive and entertaining regarding the Homosexual groups who CONSTANTLY compare themselves to the black stuggles in the 60′s yet really have no clue.

  • Anonymous

isn’t that the whole point the person being mocked by Jon Stewart was making…or every other pro-lifer…you do not have the right to decide to extinguish the life of an unborn baby. they are an unprotected class of citizen that deserves to be protected. I think those of us that are more centrist can certainly agree on some more reasonable guidelines than un-restricted abortions. If any of you has never had the opportunity, please take a moment and go to a local ob-gyn and listen in to a ten-WEEK old fetus’s heartbeat and then tell me its not alive. Could you pull the trigger? if its not life, it’s no big deal right? go ahead and flush…. the same technique is used in slavery, war and abortion…dehumanize the subject and then its not a problem to abuse or kill and we can sleep better at night. For you women out there, isn’t that the same thing that goes on in muslim countires? women are lesser and may be killed by the man?

  • Anonymous

in muslim countries, women are considered chattel and may be killed the same way. and you know what, as soon as you grow a penis and bow to mecca then you get a say what happens to the women in your family.

  • Anonymous

then why do they fight so vociferously against the inclusion of abstinence in birth control classes? It is 100% effective against pregnancy. because they are big hypocrites just the right wingers.

  • Anonymous

they do at 10 weeks…i am a convert to the pro-life movement after hearing it myself…i was astounded. growing up a brain washed liberal in NY, I had a lot of the same attitudes expressed here by you “liberals”. nSo Kudos to science, the torch of the left, for proving when life really begins, now its time to stand by your scientific honesty and help curb or stop abortions and give up the phoney rhetoric.
