VICTORY: Arizona Father Reunited With His Family

Reyna and FamilyMexican immigrant Mario Montoya Garcia was arrested on re-entry to the U.S. after he visited Puerto Rico on a work trip. He spent eight months in a Guaynabo jail and was facing deportation charges when his daughter, Reyna Montoya an organizer for United We Dream, created a MoveOn Petition to seek prosecutorial discretion and bring her father back to the U.S. After an outpouring of community support, ICE finally decided to release Mario on a bond and reunite him with his family.

Tell Congress: Ban Torture. Period.

Right now, torture is banned because of President Obama's executive order. It's time for Congress to pass a law banning torture, by all agencies, so that a future president can never revoke the ban.
