A little correction to note: The narrator in the video says, “The tar sands produces an unbelievable 36 million tons of carbon dioxide per day.” What he actually meant is that the tar sands produces 36 million tons of carbon dioxide per year—not per day. Just to give you an idea of how bad this stuff really is, the tar-sands project in Alberta produced 46 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions in 2009 alone.
